Casey was running great, advancing through the field, when all of a sudden he slowed drastically. When he said on the radio he was getting concerned about wrecking, I really got worried. After a couple of pit stops to try to find out what was wrong, Casey pulled into the pits calling it a day. He saved his car and probably a couple of others by pulling off. I was glad to see he has his car in good shape for the Snowball.

Vir - Paige brought the digital camera over and showed me the picture she took of you and Casey - Its great and we are going to put it on the website listing you head of the fan club! I wish I could have gotton over there but I was at the hauler fixing fajitas for the crew to get them feed - I wish Casey would have gone ahead and gone to the front and led some laps when he radioed and said his Car was so awesome he was running almost 2 tenths faster than the leader - but he was saving his tires then all the sudden it went to zero - I saw the big puff of smoke come out of the left rear in turn three and I thought he had a blow out - but he didn't say anything so I thought maybe he hit the brakes to hard but it was over from that point on. I think he is going to Five Flags Friday and Saturday to test because the Mobile banquet is Saturday night - we will see if he decides the Snowball or Mason Dixon - he has to make his mind up by tommorow though

Mrs Smith have you seen the Texas Motor Speedway Program from this past week-end. Mr. Eddy Gossage has an article in it about the up and coming talent in Texas and he talks about Casey about a dozen times as the next to enter the NASCAR arena - great article for him to have. Obviously he has seen him run the way he talks or knows who he is.

So far there are only 20 entries for the Meltdown. Last year, I believe they ended up with 48. Hopefully alot more entries will come in because we need these big Super Latemodel shows to be successful!
