Taz Racing
Is there any chance that you will reconsider bringing back the super stock class for next season. I know that several drivers from I-37 wanted to bring there cars to race at STS but couldn't afford to change there cars from 10 inch tires and change gear ratio's to the 8 inch tires. Was the car count that much better after you went to the hobby stock class? It just seems that cutting the the 10 inch tires out you eliminate cars from I-37 and Edna from coming over. Just hoping that you may reconsider, Thanks.
South Texas Speedway
Honestly Taz we have had a better weekly car count in the Hobby Class than we did last year in the 2 classes combined, we started slow and it has been good, other than 1 car the class has been super competitive and a real treat for the fans each week. Last Season 1 or 2 Edna and I37 cars came down here once or twice really never saw much support. Sorry for that. Also we have always tried to pay a respectful purse so with 1 class getting the top end of the purse even win the car count is low is better that 2 classes getting nothing but the top end of the purse. Also with the cost of racing the tire bill has been considerably reduced by going to the 8". The 10" tire gets eaten up down here pretty bad. Hope this helps. Taz Racing
Owen, Thank you for your response. I wish our rules were more compatible so that we could race at both places but i understand that you have to look after the tracks best interest. Thanks again.
