This thread is for the man himself who showed me that racing wasn't only about going fast. He was respected by his peers and admired by his fans. He was loved by his family and friends. There are some special folks in Abeline, Winters, San Angelo, San Antonio and Austin who think this guy hung the moon (including me, here in Eau Claire, Wi). From what I know from my own experiences, he ran primarily under the numbers of 302, 02, and 19. He'll forever remain in my memory as one of the most talented and honest drivers to lay rubber on the circle tracks in Texas. Below are just a few of the photos I've found on this website along with photos myself (Wesley) and my twin brother (Avery) and my older brother (Preston) have collected over the years. It was sad to say the least that Leroy would have to pass away - but fitting he did it in '02. This is just the biginning...

That program pic is from 1977; I happen to have a 1977 Meyer program also, with some of the same shots in it.

The pic shown looks like it came from Randy Shannon's Niftee Fiftees site, where he has scanned and posted a 1977 program under the Meyer Speedway link.
