NickHolt
For Immediate Release: Casey Smith Racing (www.caseysmithracing.com) cgsracing@aol.com 512-923-0752 Casey Smith and his #99 Team Double-Dip this Weekend - Two Tracks, Two Nights 99 miles apart Austin, TX (August 5, 2007) - Casey Smith and his #99 Super Late Model team traveled down I-10 last weekend prepared to race a double header, but mother nature had another strategy, rain mandated the Friday night “Blizzard” show at Five Flags Speedway, Pensacola, Florida postponed, and the Saturday night Miller-Lite Super Late Model show at Mobil (AL) was canceled. Casey and the #99 team will head back down I-10 this weekend for another “double dipper.” Casey is set to run the rescheduled 100-lap “Blizzard” show at Five Flags Speedway, Friday night. After that, Casey and his team will travel 99 miles up the highway to South Alabama Speedway, (Opp, Alabama) to compete in a 125-lap Super Late Model “Viper Series” race, Saturday evening. Casey dominated the “Diamond Back-125” Viper event, July 28th at South Alabama Speedway, setting fast time and leading every lap. Casey currently leads the “Viper Series” points by 36 marks over second place contender Ryan Sieg. South Alabama Speedway has joined 5 Flags Gulf Coast Bonus Bucks offering $1,000.00 Bonus to the best average finisher of both races, making it possible to win $10,000.00 if you win at both tracks! “We have been really good at South Alabama Speedway this year.” Casey remarks, “But my car doesn't have a clue which track it is on” he smirks. “The Practice we got in at Five Flags last week-end helped, hopefully we have hit on some things at that track and I will have a good race car Friday night,” says Casey. Asked his thoughts heading into the double header on his points lead in the Viper Series, and the bonus bucks being offered? “I am racing for the win, if you accomplish that then you don't have to worry about the points or bonus bucks.” The Blizzard Series race at Five Flags Speedway will take place on Friday night, September 7th. The Viper Super Late Model race at South Alabama Speedway is scheduled for Saturday, September 8th. The field for the “Miller Chill 100” was set in qualifying before the rains came in and will stand when the race is resumed Friday.
