WildRacer5
How many teams that have a shot at winning the Nashville race will pick it over the SAS ROMCO race? There are a few in the top 10 in points that might skip it.
txtom
I doubt that we'll see very many go to Nashville. We really don't have that many travelling teams right now, and they are in the thick of the ROMCO points battle. The Davidsons go east more than anyone else, and have a lot of experience at Nashville, but I see them here at SAS, since they are both in the points chase. I know Casey Smith was entered at Nashville before the rain-out, and haven't heard about Donnie Wilson. The interesting thing about the Nashville race is the purse structure. It is being advertised as a $30,000 to win, but with an asterick. 1st pays $5,000 cash, and a full tilt ASA ride the next day. 2nd pays $3,000, and so on. And yes, it pays a $1000 to start, but that will only cover part of your tire bill. I think you'd have to want to win at Nashville real bad to make the commitment to go there. Besides the travel cost, you need to buy tires for the event, and they are a Goodyear tire we do not have any experience with. And you can't get them until the Friday practice. Anyone who has never run there would have a large learning curve, both the track and tire set-ups. And I've been there; it is nothing like we have around here. Tire wear like Pensacola, fast like Pensacola, long straights like San Antonio, but with better transitions into the corner. A big track, too, almost 6/10ths. I think we'll see more Texas cars at Mobile on the 1st weekend of November. At Mobile I would expect to see both Davidsons, Welch, Wilson, and maybe Grimes, Hooks, Wallace, Chrudimsky, and Crofford. One or two others could also make the trip, depending on what happens at Houston the 25th.

HoosierDaddy
I'll say either Ricky Turner or Jason Hogan for the win. Looks like Hogan will be in Richie Wauters #5 ford again. Had there been 10 more laps in last years big shot he couldve run down Anderson, he was coming on strong.
