Thirty four cars started the $1000 to win event with at least fourteen running at the end. Bobby Jack of Rockport was the unofficial winner pending final tabulation of laps and post race tech. The croud was grate. The final results should be posted within the next 24 hours. In other news of the speedway, the $1000 to win limited late model program originally announced last week will have some minor changes it that it has not been dedided whether to pay the big money at the first race or later on in the season. The Saratoga regular season will open on March 8th with two divisions of stock cars and open wheel modifieds. Work continues on the web site. hubb44
We are still trying to get a handle on just how many limited or just plain late models are withing 300 m,iles of Corpus. It seems that there are as many as 15 in the Houston area and as many as six or eight in the hill country and there are probably five or six in the Corpus area. No body really knows. Bobby Jack seems to know what he is doing when it comes to enduros H3e was definately in the hunt at the first one at Saratoga in a big yellow cadillac.
