NickHolt Posted October 1, 2003 Report Share Posted October 1, 2003 2002 SPACE CITY 125 WINNERS TO DEFEND TITLES ON SATURDAY NIGHT HOUSTON, TEXAS, October 1, 2003 - The Space City 125 Pit Stop Competition and Race winners from 2002 will both be defending their titles this Saturday night at Houston Motorsports Park (formerly Houston Motor Speedway). 2002 Pit Stop Competition champions EFG Motorsports with driver Ryan Engelhardt will need to perform as well this year as they did in 2002 in order to take home the $700 prize and the championship trophy for fastest pit stop. Inaugural race winner and current Texas Super Racing Series points leader Ronny New, along with his Rowdy Racing teammates, will be on hand to defend their title and will be looking to take home the one of a kind trophy for the second year in a row, not to mention the winners check. Saturday night these two teams will be fending off the challenges from more than 30 other race teams looking to take their titles away. The teams will be competing for a total purse of more than $6500 plus several contingency awards.
