The sport of automobile racing is know for being exciting, challenging, and sometimes even a little

frustrating. On Saturday night September 27,2003 at the Texas Stock Car Spectacular, Keith Sandefur,

Driver of the Lone Star Motorsports/ Champion Toyota/GK Services/ Sweeney's Machine and Performance/ Texas Jeep Outfitters/ Mcmanus Welding/ Chevrolet Monte Carlo had to experience all of those emotions that usually take place all in one season, all in one night.

The night started out exciting as Keith and the team were at their home track of Thunderhill Raceway in Kyle, Texas getting the chance to see old friends and remember racing stories from old rivals from previous racing seasons. The night remained exciting as the team was preparing for their first run with the Texas Super Racing Series (TSRS), A new series in Texas competing in its inaugural season.

Now the Challenging part was finding a way to use the home track advantage and pull of of Keith's racing experience to make the car become faster and compete with the series' front runners. Keith qualified solidly in the middle of the field but lady luck was not with the team on this night, as the role of TSRS dice had inverted a portion of the field with the row in front the Champion Toyota automobile being move to the front row for the start of the race. During the race the car started to handle better until contact with another car broke the pittman arm and relegated the team to a disappointing finish in the season ending event for Thunderhill Raceway.

After the race Keith stated, "We had a good run and a good handling car tonight, I'm very disappointed that it ended the way that it did for all my fans, friends and most importantly my sponsors." "We'll just load up and prepare for San Antonio."

As far as the next race for the team, Keith will take to another one of his favorite tracks, San Antonio Speedway in San Antonio, Texas and drive the John Schultz owned #44 Texas Jeep Outfitters/ Austin Performance/ Texas Asphalt Modified in the first night of the racing event October"fast" on October 4, 2003. We hope to see everyone come out to watch a great night of racing action.
