BIG BROTHERS & SISTERS TO BE SPECIAL GUESTS AT THE 2003 SPACE CITY 125

HOUSTON, TEXAS, September 16, 2003 - Big Brothers and Big Sisters of

Greater Houston, a United Way agency, will be special guests at the 2003

Space City 125. Space City organizers announced today they would

provide free tickets to the non-profit organization whose mission is to

provide adult support to children from single parent families so they

can grow into productive members of the community. The tickets will

provide the children and volunteers with a fun and exciting activity for

a Saturday night. Big Brothers Big Sisters of America is the oldest

mentoring organization serving youth in the country and have provided

one-to-one mentoring relationships between adult volunteers and children

at risk since 1904. For more information about the Big Brothers and Big

The Space City 125 is a late model stock car race scheduled for October

3rd and 4th at Houston Motorsports Park (formerly Houston Motor

Speedway). The event is the only one of its kind in the Houston area

with a unique format that is expected to draw racing teams from across

Texas and the surrounding states. The two-day event features a pit stop

competition to determine the starting order for the 125-lap race. New

for 2003 is the involvement of the Texas Super Racing Series (TSRS) and

participation in the Texas Triple Crown which consists of races in

Austin, Houston and San Antonio. The Texas Triple Crown provides a

handsome reward for any driver and team that can win all three races.

The Space City 125 is the second event in this special 3 race series

that is sure to become

legendary.
