marc200mph Posted September 12, 2003 Report Share Posted September 12, 2003 Speedway Children's Charities Laps for Charity at Texas Date: September 13, 2003 Ever want to drive around Texas Motor Speedway, just like Dale Earnhardt Jr. or Sam Hornish? Fans get the chance to take to the high-banked corners Saturday night, September 13 during Laps for Charity which benefits Speedway Children^s Charities - Texas chapter.. Laps For Charity will run from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.. Fans can enter into the speedway infield through the gate 8 (south tunnel). For a donation of $25 to Speedway Children^s Charities, fans can driver around the 1.5-mile superspeedway for three laps.. All motor vehicles, including cars, vans, trucks and motorcycles, can be driven around the speedway.. Individuals and car clubs are welcome to participate.. Pictures in Texas Motor Speedway^s Victory Lane will also be available. All passengers in vehicles participating in Laps For Charity must be at least six years old to ride on the speedway.. A Texas Motor Speedway pace car will lead the participants at a controlled speed. Concessions will be available during the evening.
