NickHolt Posted March 8, 2007 Report Share Posted March 8, 2007 For Immediate Release Texana Raceway Park March 7, 2007 Practice March 17th; Practice plus Swap Meet on March 24th; and Season Opener on March 31st The 2007 dirt track racing season is fast approaching at Texana Raceway Park. The season opener is March 31st, preceeded by practice nights on March 17th and March 24th. At each practice, there will be opportunities for drivers to register their cars for the season. The season registration fee is $25 per car. General admission will be free at each practice. Practice fee for driver’s will be $20 each which covers the car and the pit pass. All other crew in the pits will be $20 each. The March 24th Practice will be combined with an informal Swap Meet. If you have something you want to sell that is racing related, bring it with you. And, bring your cash if you’re looking to buy. You never know, you may find just what you’ve been looking for if your buying, and you may find that buyer you’ve been looking for if you’re selling. Texana Raceway Park will be announcing several special events throughout the season closer to the event dates For example; for anyone who has ever wanted to take a spin around the track, we will be hosting a spectator race during intermission on April 28th, paying $125 to win, based on a minimum of 8 entries. More detailed information and rules for that event will be forthcoming. Also, a demolition derby is planned at mid-season and the annual kid-pleasing bike give-away will be held in the summer. More information on on these and other special events to come in future write-ups. All of the excitement at present is centered around the season opener on March 31st. Drivers and fans alike are ready to come out of hibernation and jump back in the racing season. Check out www.texanaracewaypark.org for information on everything about Texana Raceway Park. Monitor the weather, and if it looks questionable, call before you haul....361/781-0411. Or check the track website for updates closer to Saturday at www.texanaracewaypark.org. TRP Posted March 15, 2007 Report Share Posted March 15, 2007 Due to the very heavy rainfall which has hit most of Central Texas and the Texas Gulf Coast, the March 17 practice at Texana Raceway Park is cancelled.
