j.j.&s.racing
what is the gear that they are running to get to 6300 in houston????what are the norm for tire sizes at that rpm???
hray
Tire size for the goodyears are between 81 1/2 on the small size and 84 3/4 for the large. The tires seem to grow consistently @ all 4 corners. Some will tell you tire pressure are not that important but we found it very critical. I would say start @ 18psi on the left and 26psi on the right. You can adjust pressure a few pounds both ways and still keep a good contact patch. Our car felt good with about 2 1/2" of rollout with a locker. We ran a 6.20 gear with a big motor combo w/ a 500 2bbl and turned 7400 to 7600 but for 6300 I have no clue. I do know Jerry Schields ran a crate motor so you might call him. We generally run the same gear for HMS as we do for THR. I hope this helps.
