3rd Annual JRA Swap Meet to be rescheduled

Mother Nature gave Central Texas all she could with the weather.

Rain, freezing rain, sleet, and even a little snow fell over a period of two days. And with the forecast calling for chilling temperatures this weekend, JRA announced the scheduled JRA Swap Meet – scheduled for this Saturday (Jan. 20) at Thunder Hill Raceway (Kyle, TX) – has been postponed.

JRA Kids Club founder Aaron Brungot announced that a makeup date for the 3rd Annual JRA Swap Meet will be announced sometime this weekend.

“It’s important that we have the event – just not this weekend,” Brungot stated. “JRA Staff members have heard form several race teams, and auto enthusiasts of their intent to attend the swap meet. Thus, we’ll reschedule the Swap Meet, giving teams a great chance to clean the shop, and pay the bills.”

Thunder Hill Raceway is located along IH 35 just north of San Marcos. From the north or south just take exit 210 off IH35, and follow the Swap meet signs that will be out.

Aaron & Laura Brungot created JRA Kids Club officially known as Junior Racers of America back in 2005. The Kids Club has worked closely with Thunder Hill Raceway staff, and now the River City Quarter Midgets (RCQMA) organization to bring light to auto racing, and Children’s involvement with the sport. For more information about the clubs Mission and Vision Statements, visit their website at www.JRAKidsClub.com.
