Local Man to receive award!

Recommended Posts

Once again. All American Motorsports is proud to announce the winner of the All American Motorsports Award for 2006. Jay Hallas ( AKA Rebelracewriter ) of Kerrville Texas will receive this well earned award saturday night at Texas Thunder Speedway. Due to a illness with a loved one that is very close to him. The original presentation of the award had been changed to a later date. As it was scheduled to be presented at the Southern Challenge event in Abilene Texas recently.

All American Motorsports welcomes everyone to Thunder Hill Speedway to witness the presentation of the award and a great night of racing action this saturday.

All American Motorsports is also proud to be the sponsor of the 2006 Sportsmanship Award for the Lone Star Dwarf Car Club. The winner of this sportmanship award had been voted upon by club members. The announcement of the recipient of this award will be disclosed at the awards banquet. ( Look for a additional announcement on this in a few days. )

Thank you.

Douglas,

I googled "All American Motorsports Award" and didn't get any results. Is this a new award?

What does the award consist of? A money prize? A new computer (hint on behalf of Reb)? A trophy? An evening on the town with Hooters girl of his choice?

Seriously, I think it's great that Jay is being recognized for all his hard work on behalf of Texas auto racing. The Good Lord knows he does a lot of his work without pay, so it's great to see him get recognized for all his hard work.

All American Motor Sports is a umbrella name to a few things we do under this name. Mostly known publicly for raceway announcing work. But All American Motorsports is also involved in Raceway / Race team marketing and advertising efforts. All American Motorsports also places a effort in the positive growth to the sport of auto racing by assisting raceways in it's operational work through various means. Most of this effort is done behind the scenes. Bonner's Bellmead Speedway is the most recent project. All American Motorsports has also worked on a raceway investment review for investors of a raceway to be built in far north Texas. Another project was the revamping of Grayson County Speedways event implementation roles. All American Motorsports has conducted seminars for race teams so that teams can learn how to pursue race sponsorship programs. Other seminars are in the works or have been conducted in years past. All American Motorsports has tried to resolve conflicts between racers and raceways. Doing this by taking a mediators point of view with a real interest in trying to be fair and understanding of all views and perspectives. All American Motorsports has trained new raceway announcers for tracks and assisted veteran announcers. All American Motorsports has for years provided assistance for free or for hire during special event races. This and more is what All American Motorsports is about.

All American Motorsports feels that it is WAY OVER DUE to recognize the good people within the racing community that make positive contributions to our sport in some form or fashion. Jay Hallas is one of the latest individuals that is being recognized in a small way by All American Motorsports. Jay Hallas and MANY others fill this role year after year. Sadly. All American Motorsports can only recognize so few. But A.A.M. will attempt to do what it can, for as long as it can.

All American Motorsports has no web site. No sale fliers or yellow page advertisings. But it does offer a phone number and a personal email address for people to obtain for direct contact with me. The phone # is 214-542-1216. Email address is drollo@peoplepc.com.

Thank you.
