“West Texas Tango @ Champion Motor Speedway”

 

Midland-Odessa TX … It was announced today that Champion Motor Speedway (formerly Midessa Speedway) will present the inaugural “West Texas Tango” on Sunday afternoon, November 19. This will be the only event held at the 3/8-mile high-banked clay oval in 2006.

 

All main events will be 25 laps.

Entries based more then 70 miles from CMS are eligible for $25 tow money.

 

Schedule

Pits open @ 11am / Gates open @ 1pm / Show starts @ 2pm.

 

Pit fees

Modified entry- $50 / Other Classes- $30 / Pit Passes-$20 / kids (12 & under)- $10 Pre-entry not required for this event. Cash, Money Orders, or Cashiers Checks will be accepted. Personal checks will not be accepted. All purses will be paid in cash that night after the race.

 

Rules

IMCA (type) rules will apply. All racecars must meet 98 decibels @ 100 feet. No duplication of numbers will be allowed. Each car must have a unique number. Grandstand admissions

Adults- $10 / Seniors (65 and over)- $8 / Teens (13-19)- $6 Juniors (6-12) $4 / Kids (5 and under) free. Parking is also free.

 

Driving Directions

Champion Motor Speedway is located between Midland and Odessa, TX at 12300 W. Hwy 80. From Odessa or Midland, take (I-20) to exit 126, then 1.0 mile north on FM 1788, then 1.5 miles west on Business 80 to the frontage road entrance (Just west of Water Wonderland -- and behind the world-famous Prescott Café)
