ProTree Posted October 15, 2006 Report Share Posted October 15, 2006 San Antonio Raceways Drag Racing "Team" won the IHRA Divison 4 Summit Racing Team Finals Championship for the 3rd Year in a Row this weekend.This makes the 4th Championship SAR has Won since 2001(2001,2004,2005,2006).At the season ending "Summit Racing Team Finals",each IHRA track in the Division selects their Top Racers in Points from Top Modified,Super,Motorcycle,Junior Dragster,Etc.This select group forms a "Team" which then represents their track at a Divisional "Summit Team Finals".In addition to rewarding individual performance,Team Points accumulate each time a racer has a round win.Points are tabulated during the weekend,the team from each Division with the most points at the end of the race is recognized as the Team Champion at the Annual IHRA Awards Banquet.
