On a night sponsored by Cintas, the racing was great. The great crowd on hand saw a couple of first time winners. The gals got into the act, with a Cottman Transmissions Mini Stock Powder Puff Derby, sponsored by Key West Tanning. And two more Budweiser Racing Texas Twisters left the track with their new owners. as a claimer became claimee.

First up were the Cottman Transmissions Mini Stocks Eleven of the four cylinder cars took to the track for fifteen laps of racing action. Orie Shipler would get the early lead, but PJ Egbert, driving his little brother's car would work his way from his ninth starting spot and took over the lead on lap six. Egbert checked out, but the racing was great behind him, as O. Shipler managed to hang on to second over David Stewart and his son, Daniel Shipler. Travis Zwiefelhofer rounded out the top five. Egbert won his class and track leading ninth win of the year.

The Kwik Kar Oil & Lube Street Stocks were next up, with seventeen cars contesting fifteen laps. Points leader Albert Wininger Jr would get his class leading sixth win of the year. He had to race hard for it from his eleventh starting spot. Wininger Jr took the lead on lap seven from Scott Wilson. “Dashing” Dave Meadows made a race out of it though, as those two battled through heavy lapped traffic. Defending track champion, Robert Simmerman, had more bad luck, as he lost a wheel in a crash in turn two on lap six with Carl Boettcher. Simmerman would not be able to continue. Wininger Jr took the win just a car length over Meadows.

Eight of the Hertz Rent A Car I. M. C. A. Southern SportMods took to the track for their fifteen laps of feature racing. It would be Eric Tomlinson netting his first win of the year, ahead of Shad Stevens, Pat McGuire, Billy White, and Kenny Young. McGuire and Stevens had a terrific fight for second, as Tomlinson streaked away, winning by fifteen car lengths. It took just two laps for Tomlinson to capture the top spot from his fourth stating position.

Five Kwik Kar Oil & Lube Jr Mini Stocks took to the track for ten laps of racing. Ryan Ellis lead the field early until lap two when Colten Monroe, a seven time winner took the lead from his fifth fourth starting spot. Monroe would pull away from the field, until on lap eight, when a huge fire ball erupted under Monroe's car, and he pulled into the infield to have what was left of the engine extinguised. Ellis took back over the lead and was chased to the line by Joseph Charnock. This was Ellis' first win this year.

The Budweiser Racing Texas Twisters were up next for fifteen laps of racing. Thirteen of the cars that race, not race cars, lined up to do battle. It was announced that both the first and second place cars had been claimed. It didn't matter, as the drivers put on a heck of show anyway.

On the start they were five wide down the front stretch, and then only four wide in turn two for the lead. Howard Twardokus got the lead from his fifth starting spot and was able to hold it the rest of the way, but not without a fight. First points leader, Gary White. would do battle with Twardokus, and then it was Larry Tuerck. Tuerck was in position to have his third car claimed, but lost a wheel in turn four and retired from the race. A huge race was going on behind Twardokus, with Jessie Call and Brian Mendenhall duking it out for second. Mendenhall got the spot, but lost his car. Twardokus won by ten car lengths over Mendenhall.

Both Twardokus and Mendenhall had their cars claimed fro $500. They both indicate that they will be back, albeit in brand new cars. It was kind of ironic that Mendenhall got claimed, as he was the gentleman to make the first ever claim in the class. So the claimer became the claimee.

The Corbin & Associates, Atty's I. M. C. A. Stock Car race was a fantastic one, as the twelve drivers raced all fifteen laps under green. They mixed it up right at the drop of that green flag, going three wide into turn one, then four wide in turn two, and getting back to just three wide in turn three. It was Gary “Stormin” Norman with the early lead, followed by Benji Kirkpatrick, Eric Jones, Anthony Otken and Ron Simpson. Norman would keep the lead for two laps until Kirkpatrick took over the top spot in turn one. The racing stayed exciting behind Kirkpatric, as Norman, Otken and Jones were battling three wide for second on lap nine. They would do it again on lap eleven. Jones would get the second spot, but couldn't run down Kirkpatric, who went on to record his fourth win on the year.

Another race went flag to flag, as fifteen Dodge Country I. M. C. A. Modifieds went caution free for twenty laps. Wesley Hamilton lead the early going, but it was Danny Gribble making moves early to get into contention. Gribble, who started eight, would get alongside Hamilton on the back stretch on lap six. The two dueled for a lap until finally Gribble took the top spot in turn four on lap seven. Gribble would go to to post his first win of the season, ahead of PJ Egbert and Pat McGuire.
