NickHolt Posted June 22, 2006 Report Share Posted June 22, 2006 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - June 21, 2006 Contact: K-MAC Sports, 512.417.9414 Indy Colts’ draft pick to visit Thunder Hill Raceway this Saturday A bit of the National Football League – in the person of Indianapolis Colts’ draftee Michael Toudouze – will be at Thunder Hill Raceway (THR) in Kyle (TX) this weekend. Toudouze is the son of John and Brenda Toudouze – John is the crew chief and Brenda is the car chief for Kyle Sirizzotti and the G.T. Sirizzott Race Team. Kyle will be racing with the Texas Super Racing Series (TSRS) in this Saturday’s Red, White & Blue 100 at THR. Toudouze – who stands at 6-foot-6, 310 pounds – played his college football for Texas Christian University in Fort Worth after graduating from East Central High School. Toudouze started 11 games in his senior year at TCU before being taken in the fifth round (162nd pick overall) by the Colts in this year’s NFL draft. Toudouze will join Kyle Sirizzotti in an autograph session at the track on Saturday; the time has yet to be determined. Since being drafted Toudouze relocated to Indiana and has been participating it the Colts’ minicamps and the Colts’ Summer School Session, otherwise known as OTA's (Organized Training Activity), which concluded on June 15. The Colts’ organization is very much into helping the community and Toudouze has participated in many charitable events with the team. He’s in town for a visit with his parents and will leave for San Diego on June 25 for the NFL Rookie Symposium. After that he will return to Indiana and will continue voluntary strength and condition work with the Colts in preparation for training camp on July 30; the Colts’ first preseason game is Aug. 10 against the St. Louis Rams. But don’t think Toudouze – who’s father John was a “legend” back in the 1990s at Texas Dirt Raceway – is a stranger to the race scene. In fact, Michael ran at Texas Dirt Speedway in 2000, winning two of eight starts and finished fifth in the points standings that season.
