By Chelle Brown Full moon racing proved it self true again, with several bumps and crashes in all classes during the night. The feature events of the evening began with Nicholas Moore of Victoria edging out Justin Bloom of Blessing for a first place finish. Newcomer Malachi Brooks took third on his first race in the Mini Stock division. The Dwarf division saw drivers from Bay City taking the top three spots of the night. Mike Christians took the checkered flag, followed by Stew Savage, and Gary Faris. The Bomber division saw a large line up of cars end with a finish of just a few. Hard luck took out several tough contenders before the checkered flag, leaving it open for Monty Chamberlain of Louise to again take first place. Danny Bennett of Bastrop and Matt DeLeon of Rosenberg held in there for second and third place finishes. In the Street Stock class JJ Jennings of Edna took the checkered flag. Kevin Parker of Edna took a close second. In his first night in this class, and in a new car Bobby Coe of Angleton came in third. The Hot Stock Truck class saw Darryl Davis of Victoria take an early lead for the checkered flag. Kirk Loos and Jimmy Rogers both of Victoria battled for second and third place finishes. The Super Stock division saw a hat trick for Scott Turner of Sheridan with his third checkered flag in a row. Adam Perks of El Campo, took a second place finish and Eric Floyd of Edna took third. The Late Model class saw Kevin Migura of Victoria take the checkered flag yet again. Rory Jordan of Victoria took second place and Buck McFarlin of Inez completed the top three. The SportsMod division saw Aaron Hudgeons of Cuero take the checkered flag after an early lead. Faith Mascorro of Cuero, with her first showing of the season took a nice second place finish. Cody Hildebrandt of Clute would round out the top three of the night. It was an exciting night for the IMCA Modifieds yet again with Wade Moyer of Inez taking his first checkered flag. Art Rodriguez of Richmond took a second place finish and Mickey Helms of Victoria finished up the top three. It was another great night of racing action full moon, mosquitos and all!Racing will return to Texana Raceway Park on Saturday, June 24th starting at 7:30pm. The Full-Moon effect was in place with some interesting events in most all of the classes.
