NickHolt Posted May 18, 2006 Report Share Posted May 18, 2006 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: May 18, 2006 Texana Raceway Park Announcer Leaves Staff On Wednesday, May 18th, Bill Morris, co-announcer and press relations staff member at Texana Raceway Park, announced his resignation, effective immediately. Morris, a veteran of over 40 years of “short track” racing promotion, leaves the Texas dirt track after just one full season as a member of the track management team. Morris complimented sophomore owner/operator Bruce Tesch on the improvements and upgrades he has brought to the ¼ mile racing venue, but indicated that philosophical differences regarding the track’s promotional future was the reason for his resignation.
