North Texas Nationals on tap May 27-28 at Grayson County

 

BELLS, Texas (May 4) ­ Grayson County Speedway's second annual North Texas Nationals is on tap Saturday and Sunday, May 27-28, boasting a $5,000 prize for the winner of the IMCA Modified main event.

 

Jeff's Performance Southern SportMods run both nights, with the $1,000 to win show set for Sunday.

 

National, SuperFlow South Central Region, Smiley's Racing Products State and local track points will be awarded. The Modified winner will also be added to the ballot for the 2007 All-Star Invitational at the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals.

 

Gates open at 6 p.m. Friday, May 26 for an evening practice session, and at 10 a.m. Saturday and Sunday. Hot laps are at 6 p.m., the draw closes at 7 p.m. and racing begins at 8 p.m. both nights. Qualifying races for the Modifieds and Southern SportMods

are complemented by the regular weekly divisions and spectator races on Saturday; Sunday's program sports last-chance qualifying and the feature events.

 

Mufflers are required for all classes and pit passes are $25 both days.

 

Adult admission is $10 on Saturday and $15 on Sunday. Kids shorter than the height of the main gate counter get in for $5.
