just a brief recap, greg davidson was fastest qualifier, the front 4 went off with C.Davidson on the pole, T. Wade Welch on the outside, John Heil and Greg D, C. Davidson grabbed the early lead, but something was a miss on the car, john heil and the rest of the pack went by chris davidson with John Heil grabbing the lead, a spin early in the race in turn 2 by a lapper (33) took out greg who was running 2nd at the time, after the restart it was Heil, Welch, Grimes, and Wallace i believe, Welch put enormous pressure on Heil throughout the race, Bendele who started 8th was pretty much a non factor, Grimes who ran 3rd all night didnt have anything for the leaders, Grotheus had a real fast car but was trapped behind Wallace all night, Grotheus finally spun Wallace out and into the wall, 18 cars started the race, in the end Heil was able to hold off Welch, Grimes got 3rd, Grothues 4th, i believe after a late race pit stop Bendele got 5th with Crawford, and Eric Covinton as the only lead lap cars. well thats a basic recap.... cya in SA

The 3 car of Heil appeared to have the field covered at will and seemed to be saving a little for the end of the race which he showed in the last ten laps when no one could get close enough to pressure him. The 07car driven by Graham Baker, running the now well publisized GM $3100 carte motor, was respectable in practice but suffered rear end problems on the warm-up lap of qualifying and as a result started in the last row of the 18 car field. He was lapped about two times by the leader in the first 40 or so laps before he was involved in an accident which (not his fault)took him out. The fastest three cars qualified in the mid to upper middle 13. Baker druing the race was cloccked in the very early 16 seconds in traffic.
