USRA23TRUCK Posted April 17, 2006 Report Share Posted April 17, 2006 I heard that there was something going on with the truck tech, the top three got teched all had the 350 crate, and there was a different part number on the intake manifold on all three other than what is specified in the rules, but if all three have the same intake, im sure that they are legal, just asking if anyone knows more? junior Posted April 17, 2006 Report Share Posted April 17, 2006 Mikeg, I believe they all had the same casting numbers . mine had the intake that came on the engine. Possibly they were looking at the number that is listed in the spec sheet that came with the engine which list part , not the casting number. Rick Day Posted April 19, 2006 Report Share Posted April 19, 2006 Junior You were exactly right, After checking with GMPP on the numbers, the 12464340 number on the intake is just a casting number. After crossing the number it does MATCH the Part Number list by GM. So to make a long story short the intakes on the 28,40 and 54 are all Legal.
