Thunder Hill Raceway Kicks Off Race Season with Two Day Event

Race fans in the greater Austin, Texas area will be able to continue the

parties from Texas Motor Speedway this weekend with a two day celebration as

Thunder Hill Raceway rolls off the line for a new season. Friday Night,

April 14th, legendary country recording star, Johnny Lee will take the stage

for a concert from 9:00 PM to 11:00PM. Opening for Lee will be the Pete

Benz Band, taking the stage at 7:00 PM with gates opening at 5:00PM. At

intermission there will be a brief test & tune session for drivers getting

ready for the Saturday season opening race. Drivers practice opens from

noon until 7:00 PM.

 

Saturday, April 15th will see a full card of racing as Thunder Hill raceway

presents the Texas Super Racing Series, the USRA Modifieds, Trucks as well

as local classes like the Hobby Stocks, Street Stocks, Grand Stocks, Texas

Dwarf Cars Association and the Lone Star Legacy's.

 

"What a way to open the 2006 Race Season with Guitars & Racecars," stated

Naumann, co-owner of Thunder Hill Raceway and the Texas Super Racing Series.

"We are so excited to start our season off with such exciting racing

action for our race fans." Brian Callaway, founder and co-owner of Thunder

Hill Raceway begins his 9th opening season says. "I think this is going to

be one of the best seasons that race fans have seen in a very long time, you

will not want to miss this weekend!"

 

Gates open Saturday at 10:00 AM and racing will begin at 5:00 PM. There

will also be a big Easter Egg Hunt for the kids so bring your Easter
