Grand Prix of Houston Announces Volunteer Program

Men’s Wearhouse to be official sponsor of program

HOUSTON, Apr. 7, 2006 - Fans enthusiastic about the return of world-class motorsports to Houston can now take an active role in the Grand Prix of Houston, which roars into town May 11 - 13 at Reliant Park. The Grand Prix of Houston announced a new volunteer program today, sponsored by Men’s Wearhouse, which gives participants the opportunity to volunteer their time during this exciting event. Prospective volunteers can now register online at http://www.grandprixofhouston.com.

The Grand Prix of Houston volunteer program includes a variety of job assignments for adults of all ages and abilities. Volunteers will perform essential tasks such as manning information booths, serving as greeters in the grandstands, providing transportation services, and assisting with the track set up. Volunteers are not required to have any specific skills, although certain assignment areas may be more suitable for particular types of people or volunteers with applicable experience. Volunteers are required to be 18 years of age as of May 11, 2006.

Specific volunteer assignment areas include: Hospitality, Information, Ushers, Credentials, Transportation, Volunteer Services, and Track Services. When registering online, volunteers, who are required to register online, will have the opportunity to indicate their top preferences for assignment area, and based on these preferences each volunteer will be assigned to one area for the entire race weekend. All volunteers will be asked to work at least three six-hour shifts during the race weekend, although some volunteer areas will require a greater time commitment. A full description of volunteer assignment areas and available shifts are available online at http://www.grandprixofhouston.com/volunteer

Men’s Wearhouse, the Official Clothier of the Grand Prix of Houston, will be the official sponsor of the volunteer program. “Men’s Wearhouse is proud to support the Grand Prix of Houston and the volunteer program,” said George Zimmer, Founder and CEO of Men’s Wearhouse. “Volunteers are an invaluable part of the Grand Prix of Houston team, and we’re proud that they’ll be wearing top-quality shirts from Twin Hill, our corporate apparel division.”

Program participants will be volunteering their time, but their efforts will not go unrewarded. The Grand Prix of Houston volunteer program includes a great benefits package, and volunteers that meet the minimum requirements will receive a number of benefits including:

* An official Grand Prix of Houston volunteer credential, providing gate admission, Paddock Access and on-site parking during the event

* An official Grand Prix of Houston volunteer polo shirt, provided by Men’s Wearhouse
