Texas Super Racing Series Invades Thunder Hill Raceway

By: Pat Mayberry

This Saturday, April 15, 2006, the stars and the cars of the Texas Super

Racing Series (TSRS) will make their first appearance at Thunder Hill

Raceway (THR) in Kyle, Texas. Many of the series most recognized names have

said Thunder Hill Raceway is their favorite track in Texas.

Tommy Gural, James Reeder, Rookie Cody Smith have all earned season track

champions at THR, before joining the TSRS road show. Couple that with other

series regulars like Leland Waddell, Ryan Engelhardt, Rookie Kyle

Sirizzotti, Rookie Adam Haugh, Teresa Gural, Ian Webster and 2005 TSRS

Champion Chris Schild who have all been to victory lane at THR and fans

should be in for a great night of racing from drivers who know their way

around this 3/8 mile high banked tri-oval.

In 2005, the series made four visits to THR and saw four different drivers

grab a win. The tight confines of THR force drivers to choose their spots

carefully when setting up for a pass. However, with improvements made to

the racing surface the past couple of years, a second racing grove has been

discovered and racing is better than ever.

"Going to be a fun two days at THR, with Guitars and Racecars, so happy that

the stars of TSRS are a part of this Thunder Hill Raceway opening weekend,"

stated Mary ann Naumann, owner and founder of TSRS.

Racing will begin at 5:00 PM. Also appearing on the race card will be the

USRA Modifieds, Trucks and the THR local classes - Hobby Stocks, Street

Stocks and Grand Stocks and more. There will also be a big Easter Egg Hunt

for the kids. For more information and tickets please visit
