San Antonio Speedway to Host Press Conference Thursday, March 30, 2006

 

Who: San Antonio area Media Representatives and other interested parties.

 

What: You are cordially invited to attend a press conference in advance of the “Hill Country Satellite DirecTV Alamo 200 ASA Late Model Series Race Presented by Xpress Lube.” Over 40 of the nation’s top short track drivers from 14 states have registered to compete for the 28 starting positions. This $10,000-to-win event is undoubtedly the biggest race ever held at the Speedway.

 

Several of the top teams and their equipment will be present and available for photo opportunities. We will also have the San Antonio Speedway NASCAR Craftsman Race Truck fired up and ready for media personnel to experience the thrill of stock car racing – Texas Style! Beverages and snacks provided.

 

Where: At San Antonio Speedway. SAS is Texas’ fastest short track and the only NASCAR sanctioned short track in the Great State of Texas. SAS has produced more than its share of well-known drivers, including two-time NASCAR Nextel Cup Champion Terry Labonte. The half-mile paved oval is celebrating its 30th Anniversary in 2006. The track is located at 14901 Texas State Highway 16 South (also known as the Poteet Highway), just 3.5 miles south of Loop 410 near the new Toyota plant.

Saturday, April 1

4:00 p.m. – Gates Open

4:00 p.m. – ASA Late Model Series Qualifying

6:30 p.m. – Magnum Trailers Presents USRA Modifieds & USRA Trucks feature races

9:00 p.m. – Hill Country Satellite DirecTV Alamo 200 ASA Late Model Series Race Presented by Xpress Lube
