Opening night at Texas Thunder Speedway is only 5 days away! You have been building, messaging, and testing them all winter. Now it is time to put all that hard work to the real test. March 25th is the start of another exciting season at the ¼ mile dirt track in Killeen. Hitting the track to open the 2006 points season will be the Dodge Country I. M. C. A. Modifieds, Hertz I. M. C. A. Southern Sportmods, Corbin & Associates, Attys I. M. C. A. Stock Cars, Cottman Transmissions Mini Stocks, and the Street Stocks. The Jr. Mini Stocks will start their season on April 1st and the brand new Budweiser Racing Texas Twisters will make their debut on April 15. In addition to making the cars fast, we hope you have made them look fantastic as well. Judging for “Best Looking Car” starts on March 25th, with the other two classes being judged on their first race night. Track promoter Pat Wilson wants to remind all I. M. C. A. drivers that they will have to show their 2006 I. M. C. A. license or their receipt at the Draw Table in order to race. Also this year we will require all cars in all classes to have the I. M. C. A. muffler installed. No muffler, no racing. Only class exempt is the Budweiser Racing Texas Twisters New for fans this year is the ability to purchase their tickets online with a credit card. Just go to the Texas Thunder Speedway web site, and click on the “Buy and Print Tickets” button. Also you can use your Visa or Master Card in the tracks souvenir and concession stands. Gates open at 6:00 PM and racing starts at 8:00 PM. Tickets are $10 for Adults, $3 for kids 6-12 and kids under 6 are free. Season passes are available as well.
