David Mackey returns to TPS during 2006 Season

 

San Antonio, Texas

 

Texas Pro Sedans Series Race & Administrative Director, Neil Upchurch has announced that David Mackey of Austin will return to the San Antonio based stock car series as Co-Chief Inspector for several TPS races during the upcoming 2006 season.

 

He was a driver in the four cylinder stock car series for two years from 1986 to 1987.

Mackey then served as TPS Co-Chief Inspector during the 1988 and 1995 seasons. He

was also the major TPS Hoosier Racing Tire dealer for five years.

 

David Mackey’s previous race track officiating experience was at Longhorn Speedway in Austin and at Thunder Hill Raceway in Kyle, Texas where has worked as the Chief Steward for more than seventeen years.

 

In making the announcement, Neil Upchurch said, “We are proud to have David Mackey back in the Texas Pro Sedans Series as Co-Chief Inspector. His contributions to TPS over the years have been very valuable and I anticipate that his future work with TPS will be equally valuable”. David Mackey will not only be returning to Texas’s oldest touring serieson a part time basis, but will also continue as a Thunder Hill Racewayofficial on the nights when they are open during the 2006 season at the 3/8-mile track in Kyle.

 

The TPS 4-cylinder stock cars completed 30 consecutive years of racing last year and

is the oldest asphalt touring series in Texas.

ya'll couldn't ask for a better guy to have as a part of you organization. he's definetely one of the best.

but of coarse you guys already knew that.
