Question about USRA Modified Rules

Jason,

At this point, there is no weight break for the 400 HP crate engine in the USRA TAMS rules.

In doing the research, we found that the crate engine and many of the existing TAMS engines were quite close in horsepower. Also, keep in mind that the 400 HP crate engine weighs 375 pounds verses a steel-headed engine which weighs approximately 435 pounds. That 60 pounds can be place low in the car with a crate engine. So, in that sense, the crates will have a weight break, at least in a weight distribution break.

Terry Dickerson is still negotiating the tire deal. As soon as he has something firm, we will announce it.
