2006 Texas Pro Sedans Rules Completed

 

San Antonio, Texas

 

Texas Pro Sedans Series Race and Administrative Director, Neil Upchurch has announced

completion of the 2006 TPS Rules and Technical Specifications.

 

The rules were distributed in person to all 2006 TPS members who attend the TPS Awards Dinner at Carlos Kelly’s in San Antonio on November 26. On November 27th, the rules were distributed by Email or by US mail to all non-attendees. On November 27, the rules were posted on - www.TexasProSedans.com.

 

The few major changes from last years rules were announced in a post season

newsletter to all members of the San Antonio based 4 - cylinder stock car series after the final 2005 season race on October 22nd .

 

Major 2006 Rules Changes:

 

> No restrictor plate on Eslinger SVO Head.

 

> ARCA Eslinger Head restrictor plate increased from 38mm to 40mm.

 

> Fabricated frame cars left side percentage increased from 53% to 54%. (All other frames remain the same %).

 

> Technical Protests Fee - $150. Scoring Inquiry -$75.

 

> Weight breaks remain for OEM Ford & Chevrolet heads - 250 lbs for OEM frame, 100 lbs for Fabricated frame.

 

> Fabricated rear spoiler cited in TPS Technical Bulletin #5 is permanent.

 

> Air cooled VW may add optional carburetor EMPI 44HPMX.

 

> DOCH remains on 32 x 36mm Holley/Weber but continues a 38mm x 38mm carburetor R&D period.
