  1. Very nice shop you have sm002 thanks for the info
  2. Anyone have some suggestions on lighting. Looking for some really bright light. Quanty, LED, any brands to stay away from?
  3. Now that the rain is gone got a little progress going.
  4. It is against the deed restrictions however with no active HOA who enforces the deed restrictions? I could drive down the street and 10 to 15 people are in violation of the restrictions for various things.
  5. They say a metal building in the neighborhood is against the deed restrictions etc. 3 other people have put them up with no issues. Long story short I had to get a real estate attorney to get them off my back. So hopefully will be smooth sailing now.
  6. Got a little more progress going. Way behind schedule due to complaining neighbors and the first person I had doing the slab. But all is good now. Plan to start putting the building up in a week or two.
  7. Thanks Bobby. I will be doing most of that work myself but if in run into an issue I will call the pros at Sanford Electric for sure. thought about doing a rear for that same reason and air flow. Doors are a pretty penny. Think I will just cut a new door into the shed for better access.
  8. Thanks over all the years my father and I have just worked on cars in the garage. This is something ive been wanting to build for along time so I understand where yall are coming from.
  9. So far progress has been a little slow due to the short days. Right now they have the forms up and waiting on fill dirt.
  10. Shop size will be 30x40 steel building with 12 foot exterior walls two 10x10 roll up doors and a simple walk thru door on the side.
  11. Anxiously waiting for the concrete contractor I got excited and had to stake the area out.
  12. After the removal of the porch of the shed did a rough level of the ground.
  13. Bought this home a little over 4 months ago. Has a great backyard for the shop I wanted to build or could afford really. It has a really nice shed 12x16 that is right in the path of the shop foot print. So first things first had to move that. What a chore that was. Ugh after a few bottle jacks homemade dollys and a truck I got it moved to the back Conner.
  14. Being that racing season is over or has been over for most of us, I figure I would start a post on building my shop if anyone is interested. I plan on sharing photos and getting other peoples thoughts through the building process and once its up. What lift to buy. air compressor. work bench layouts ETC Figured this would be a fun thing to share Since it has been slow on here for awhile. Thanks Adam Haugh
