  1. The drawing of proposed oval reminds me a bit of Longhorn Speedway. (I loved that track)
  2. I know times are changing. I race all the 90's at Longhorn and loved it. My first race at CC Speedway was a post season race in 92 with a bunch of us Longhorn guys going down . We had a blast ! I'm sure if it is built there will be plenty of people willing to race a 1/4 mile track.
  3. Best thing I have seen regarding the Supers is the tracks are working at keeping this class going. I know CTS and SAS have put forth the effort. CCS with Abel is at it also. Hopefully John and HMP will work toward rule unification. Some were losing faith in this class but the car count will pick up. By next season I think the Supers will be one of the crowd favorites like a few years back.
  4. Money is my excuse ...I have a hard time asking for sponsors but I don't usually turn down anyone who is looking to sponsor my car.
  5. Cory, if you look at the rules on the CTS website you will see that they have opened them up to allow Streets / Supers from CTS, SAS & CCS to race together. There are 3 engine rules and numerous weight breaks and penalties. Since I have no sponsors and do all my own work it depends on how much extra money I have after I take care of my family and bills. If I won the lottery or something close I would be hauling to all 4 asphalt tracks every chance I could. I've raced at all of them and they are all a lot of fun.
  6. I loved the few times I raced there. To me it was scary fast. I always seemed to get there too late to practice and had to take it a little easy until I knew how the car was going to handle. One time it was so loose the corners were a controlled spin and everytime I hit the dip on the back staight the rpms went up. It was fun...scary fun !
  7. Josh, The race wasn't shifter carts but 2 came out afterwards. One guy in a shifter cart had been clocked in the 15.30's during a previous practice at THR !
  8. My brother Marvin McKim and a lot of locals used to road race their motorcycles there...
