Unfortunately last night at 105 speedway we lost a racing brother. Tym Vanarsdale passed last night. Don't have much information but please keep the Vanarsdale family in your prayers.

Along with the nova , I also have 2 a metric chassis I'm slowly rebuilding . Yes sir I have filled out the survey and been in contact with Mike Peters. Hopefully we make some head way. As for tires are there pulloffs available from truck or modified classes.

Street stock. Is this the class that has been chosen or is the decision still undecided at this point.

Yah, Not Half Bad..... Just might need to "Lower Down" a Tick.... But that Would Work just fine....
I've Said it Before, And I'll Say Again, & Again, & Again.... Any Way that We can Get Scotty Barber Off of the Dirt and Back Racing at HMP would be the Best Thing that could Happen, Regardless what ever the Racing Class. Scotty was a Pro-Stock Legend that hold a Candle to David Webster or Lynn Hardy jr. in his Own Right. If HMP Opens Back Up, Then Some How or Some Way.... Ever in His Nova.... We Need Scotty Barber Back on the Track @ HMP. Scotty is a Very Entertaining Race Car Driver Indeed. How ever I Could Help Him back on the Track @ HMP..... Then I am All -In.....
I appreciate it Mr John. I'm far from a legend.

Here is a "Perfect" verion of an "Asphalt Factory Stock right here....
Just > Add< a H.D. Stock front Sway Bar, 10" wide race wheels to go with the (F-45 Asphalt Factory Stock legal Pull-Offs), Also Add a Lexan front Windshield, & Plug up all of the Holes & Open areas in the Floor Pan & Fire Wall, an In Date Seat Belts & Window Net, A Full SFI Fire Suit & SFI Helmet....
And Most Factory Stocks would fit in Nicely with a few Safety & Minor / Simple Modifications to comply with the Asphalt Type Safety Requirements, And We would be good to go More or Less very Simply !!!
Bring them on......
I agree with 10" tires(f45) and wheels

About as stock as they come now days. All steel body other than the doors (4 doors are very heavy). Stock steel firewalls and floor . All suspension in stock location. Non rebuildable shocks can run racing springs. Nothing fancy and affordable for most. Running 105 speedway pure stock rules.

No Worries My Racing Brother.... Simple, Just Bring it to Me & Leave it with Me a while, I'll get it Straightened Out and Have it Looking Sharpe like an "Asphalt Race Car Should...", Very, Very Glad to Help with a Project Like that. Might need to bring Me some fresh front Fenders and fresh Nose cover to start out with.... I'll provide the TLC.....
In the Meantime.... We as Racers Need to Support the New Promoter with a Pool of Street Stock Race Cars Ready to go.... And Also Promote the Idea of a Street Stock Class to Included into the New Program..... It's going to take Us to Voice our want to Re-Turn a Pro-Stock Type of Stock Car Class racing again with the New Program. That Former Stock Class was a Fan Favorite & a Racer Favorite Racing Class at HMP for Many Years.... A Stock Car Class is WANTED very Much by us Racers in this Area. I would very much like to race again @ HMP.... But it would only be in a Stock Car V-8 type of racing class.
I have a Candidate Type of Street Stock type of Race Car that I have been working on for the past few years, and will be ready soon.... I have been planning on Selling it, But if I could race it here locally ..... Then I would Keep it and Support HMP's Oval Program.
Ther are More that a Few of us Local Racers that would Support HMP with a Stock Car type of Class....
An Appeal: RACERS - A STOCK CAR RACING CLASS IS VERY MUCH WANTED..... PLEASE HELP VOICE or CONVEY OUR REQUEST IN THIS MATTER....
Scotty, Try Not to Beat Up the Old Nova any more than it is, If HMP does include a street stock class, they will need cars ready to go so to speak.... But No Problem of getting it Cleaned Up & a little more Aero Dynamic some what better. Thanks for Chiming in Brother.
( Also, I am still holding back those tires for you, Talk to me about tires some time soon, Sir...., other wise I am going to trash them out....)
It's not bent to bad.

A New Oval Track Series @ HMP.... " Whoo-Whoo...", Bring on the Stock Frame / Stock Body Street Stocks / Pro-Stocks !!!!
Yep, I am Hoping that We Can Get a New Series here @ HMP sooner than later for Sure, w/ Full Stands & Full Pits like it use to be about Ten Years ago or so....
Mr John I'm still onboard with your idea of the older pro stock class. We'll see. Might have to bring out the old nova. Not as straight as it was , but still very competitive on dirt.

ISO 8" asphalt pulloffs. Not looking to spend a lot. It's a trail and error testing. Preferably around Houston area but can travel some if needed.

Hard to find. Need to jump on it

Hard to find a Camaro that doesn't have front suspension mounts altered or jack bolts. I run a nova and do fairly good . On the tech pad 5 out of 7 races this year 5th in Halloween race , started front row in the Texas grand but had tranny problems. Don't count out a nova. Pure stock is a fun class.

Appears to be a very well built safe car. Unfortunately , as good as the car looks its not what they are looking for on asphalt in Texas( late model bodies) That's why I left asphalt to race dirt.

Thank y'all so much for the prayers. He is home now and doing a little better. We have a long ways to go . If anything will work, it's prayer. Thank you

Sounds like it was a very successful weekend for all at hmp. Good job. Looks like the success will carry over to the 2020 season. Good turn out for the super stock.
-
From looking at the final race day schedule, the dwarf cars was given the offer to race. As I've said in past post . I will continue to support HMP and attend races as a fan, when not racing on dirt. Good luck to all and keep up the hard work.

I have the upmost respect for Mr Bell for making the long haul knowing he has a no chance of running up front in the super stocks, It's not that he is not experienced or talented enough it's the car and the rules which it is built by. From my view it only makes sense to have a class in which he and others that have cars that are built with similar rules to COMPETE in . We want to compete, not be a filler car. It makes people feel good knowing the hard work paid off with a good finish.

Not to often I hear Odessa / Midland. Born and raised in Colorado city. My father ( Ronnie Barber) raced with and against the Hillin family on the circle tracks. He also drag raced on asphalt and water. He has many stories from his era of racing and running from the law.(oops).
-
Yes sir, would like to hear something on which class will be given the opportunity to race . Friday is the day I decide which class I'm going to build on for next season. As for running two different types of cars with totally different rules usually doesn't work out to good. The faster cars start complaining that the slower cars are in the way ( understandable) and usually cause caution's. I enjoy racing against equal or somewhat equal cars, not falling 1 - 1.5 second behind each lap. I have nothing against the super stock class, enjoy watching them. Would like to see and race a stock style class.

Wow. That is cool to see Mr Huff. We used to park by Tym and his son at 105 occasionally. You definitely couldn't ask for better people . Very respectful and helpful. Mr Tym is truly going to be missed by many . My GOD Bless the Vanarsdale family with peace and comfort.
