Shocks play a roll in a car up to about 20% but without a balanced set up on the car along with a good working front end it doesn't matter for example the 11 car that took the lead after I broke in the feature it has the cheapest set of shocks on it you can buy from o reileys but it has a good balanced set up an the front end is on point, it came out of my shop and It was assembled piece by piece in my shop. I on the other hand have a high dollar set of shocks and obviously they didn't win or loose me a race being our other car which is the 11 was faster but couldn't make consistent laps.
