Unfortunately, last night on Facebook, Gina announced the May race is canceled. First race will be July 2.

I saw an estimate of 5000 at the IndyCar race. And that's not a typo. From an article on Racer.com.

I've raced there numerous times. It's by far the best facility I've raced at. The garages have plenty of clean bathrooms, air connections, and epoxy floors. It's nicer than my garage at home. 

My only real issue with the chase is the way points accumulate once it starts. The drivers in the chase should only be scored against each other. Bad luck on lap one in the first round should get you 16th place points, not 40th place points. (Unless they've changed that recently?)

What a great time last night.  The crowd was probably down a little due to the weather.  But the racing was great. 

Next race is August 15.

It was a great night. Good weather, good crowd, good racing. Car counts were good, 19 Ecos, 20 Pro Mods, 13 Trucks. It was a good start to the season.

Me, if it doesn't rain. But that seems unlikely at this point. So next weekend then.

I'm wondering if the computer just isn't turning the fuel pump on while cranking?

When you checked the fuel pressure, was that while running, or not running with just the key on? Check it with just the key on and while cranking. When you turn the key on, the fuel pump should run about 2 seconds to build pressure. And it should start running again while cranking the engine.

Alternatively, pull the fuel pump relay and jump the fuel pump terminals to make it run continuously, and see if it starts. 

I've been going to the races as a spectator for basically my entire life. Stock cars, sports cars, Indy cars, sprint cars, I've seen them all.  For the last 10 or so years, I've been doing endurance road racing with a team of friends. But I always wanted to try the circle track. 

This year, with HMP opening back up, I built an Eco Stock and joined the fun. And I'm having a blast. It was really fun to see the crowd the other night and all the cars in the pits. I hope we can all keep the momentum up and finish the year strong.

And it was nice to get home at a decent hour.

I think anyone that's been going to the races long enough has a near-miss story at a minimum. Luckily, I haven't witnessed anything traffic.

I went to Indiana Sprint Week several years ago. We saw a sprint car flip over the fence in Terre Haute. Between 1&2 where there were no stands. In Haubstaudt, we saw a tire get loose, bounce over the fence between 1&2, cross the road, and end up several hundred feet into the adjacent corn field. If it had gone into the stands, it would have been very ugly.

Personally, I always sit close to T4. I feel safer at the exit of the corner as opposed to further along the straightaway.
