South Texas Speedway
This Saturday August 19th is the return of the ASCS Gulf South 360 Sprint Cars. They haven't visited STS since 2013 and we are excited to have them back in Corpus Christi. In addition to the ASCS we will be running Limited Mods, Street Stocks, Pure Stocks and Emods. Pit Gates open at 4pm tomorrow and come early to ensure your spot as we won't be asking ASCS teams to move once they have parked. Pit passes are still $30 and entry fee $45 same as they have been all season. The first heat race will roll off at 8pm. The working plan is to run the race order as Street Stocks, Emods, ASCS, Limited Mods and Pure Stocks. We will run through the heats and then run the Karts, Street Stock and Emod Feature. At that point we will push the ASCS Sprint Cars on to the track and once they are set Nick Robbins will do the on track driver introductions. After those have concluded we will open up the track gate to allow the fans to come down to the track and meet the ASCS guys and take a look at the winged 360's and that will be our intermission. Once that concludes we will run the limited mod and pure stock features and wrap up the evening. We are looking forward to a big night and are expecting a good field of ASCS cars in town. We talked to the series director midweek and he said he had confirmed 15 and hoped as many as 20. Looking forward to a good night of racing tomorrow night and hope to see everyone out at South Texas Speedway
