Our annual end-of-summer celebration is a massive surf-and-turf extravaganza, with MLRA Late Model Dirt Track racing and the 250 mile-per-hour top fuel hydros scorching Lake Lucas, all coming to you this weekend! You'll want to bring all your friends and family and end the summer in style - Speed, Sun and Family Fun! Get on over to the 5th Annual Diamond Drag Boat Nationals - September 4th through 6th at Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri!

"In addition to providing the best racing on the water, we have also made several facility improvements since last year that fans should enjoy, including adding huge shade structures over the drag boat grandstands for fan comfort in the heat, added nearly 40 additional camping spots with power and water in our main campground, and added a full court basketball court just east of the campground shower house."

The 3-day festival of speed, fun, and entertainment kicks off on Friday, September 4th with an Open Competitor Test & Tune from 8am-12:30 and based on a very successful introduction in 2014, activities on Friday will also include one complete round of qualifying for all classes including all Sportsman and Pro classes from 12:30-4:00pm. Phat Mike and the Bartenders will provide entertainment in the Diamond Bar on Friday evening.

Saturday's action begins at 9am with a full day of Drag Boat Qualifying, including everyone's favorite, the Top Fuel Hydros, racing down the lake at speeds in excess of 250 MPH! The Lucas Oil Drag Boat Racing Series will wrap up qualifying just in time for fans to make their way over to the dirt track for the MLRA Larry Phillips Memorial Presented by G2 Gemini Apparel. The Pitts Homes USRA Modifieds will also be in action as the drivers battle for a special $1,000 to win top prize courtesy of Behlin Building Systems and Bret Givens Construction.

The weekend concludes on Sunday, September 6th, with Final Elimination Rounds to crown the Champions of the 5th Annual Diamond Drag Boat Nationals. Gates open at 8am Sunday, with Eliminations slated for 9am.
