Congratulations Mike. I think I will move my shop to Kingsland. Every winner this year is from Kingsville.

And A big pat on the back to Lanny, got there really late and pulled down 3rd place with the Karman Ghia!

OT,

Missed you at THR last night. Sausage wrap sales down 48%. Lalo did well last night and other teams suffered a bit due to lack of Lalo barbeque. TPS put on great show.

Broken lh spindle, bent lower control arm, twisted upper control arm, some tubing, fix lh rim, nose peice and lh fender, I may be able to hammer it back out will have to try and see. Will start surveying it more tomorrow, I hope Tory isn't sore. The right side just has a little wall paint on it. The stock fiberglass hood is pretty stout.

Thank all you guys!

Since my mother left this earth in february and wont be able to phisically attend any more tps races, there was a strong desire this year and especially this mothers day to bring dedicate my all and bring her home a win.

It was unspoken of me between my dad and lanny and just seemed to be accomplished as a given.

The crew dialed in the car, mom was with me, and things fell into place.

Thank you guys.

If you havent done it yet, hug your mom, hug your dad, tell your family how much they mean to you. Life is too short to take anything for granted.

Love you mom.

Mike

Don't know yet what's ailing the 01. The exhaust pipe was all bent up like a pretzel, so I thought that was the problem. But when I took it off, the engine still bogs down and sputters out at about 5000 RPM.

THIS SOUND FUNNY TO SOME I BET ..BUT IF YOU TOOK A HARD HIT ..CHECK YOUR BATTERY ....I DONT KNOW IF YOU RUN AN ALTERNATOR THOUGH . IVE LEARNED JUST BECUZ IT WILL START THE MOTOR .IT CAN STILL BE MESSED UP ..

Check your fuel lines in the back make sure none are kinked. I had a coil go bad and do something like that before 5500 and it was like you had a governor on it.

Fuel lines look good. I'll try a different coil. It's like it has a limiter on it that kicks in at 5000 RPM and just won't go higher. I'll try going through all of the ignition - piece by piece - coil, distributor cap, rotor, plugs, wires...

I'll look at the battery as well.

Beyond that, I dunno... maybe the carburetor - accelerator pump?

Weird part is that it was running great right before the crash. I'm thinking that somehow it's related - but maybe not.

another thing .you keep saying it wont go over 5000 ..you may try unpluging the tack ..it could have took a nose dive ...
