  1. I will have a spare 5" only if I get the 2 from the e-bay guy. Remember he bid on them but didn't really care what they were as he builds skooters and can use anything. He said we can probably work a deal on them. I did however find two more 6" rears tonight. They are kinda ruff but should clean up allrite in the lathe, glass bead than polish or paint. Have you ever seen what they can do to old aluminum carb body's? They dip them in something that makes them look like new with the gold anodized look, thinking of doing that instead of paint. Anyway I am sitting on four Hands 6" rears and one Hands 5" till the guy on e-bay comes threw than I will have a spare 5". Also foud a copy of the '58 Hot Rod mag with all the Midget's on the cover. Keep the old pic's coming! Lon

  2. Hope I am not counting my chickens before they hatch but just got off the phone with the e-bay Hands Eng. Wheels guy, Dave, and he said he bought them just because they were 5" and aluminum. Maker didn't matter to him as he builds 2 wheel scooters and can use most any brand. Anyway he said once he gets them in his hands he will get ahold of me about them and hopefully strike a deal for them. It's that last piece of the puzzle I need to start resto of the Wahlborg. I told him I would put out feelers for 580 & 820 Westbend motors that he uses in his scooters so if you have any leads I will pass that on to him. Here's a pic of his wheels, if this works out I will have a spare front incase someone wants to start pouring copies! Lon

  3. Randy, A friend and his wife went garage sailing today and she spotted these Hands Engineering Wheels and remembered the one on my Wahlborg Midget front! What a gal! Gotta love the recaps! Yep, just need one more front. Missed a couple on e-bay today, have e-mailed the guy hopeing he will sell one or the pair, no word yet. Lon

  4. Randy, I respect the history of these Midgets more than careing about if my grand kids are having fun! They can have just as much fun, in their eyes, on a more modern go-cart with more ground clearance, etc. The Wahlborg will be put in the shop and the search is on for the rite rear wheels and a Continental motor. Will keep you posted and thanks for all info. Lon

  5. Hello to all, great site!

Well their still out there, just picked this one up but knew nothing about it till I found this site, thanks. Don't know much about it other than it might be a Wahlborg? Any idea of the era?

Has a B&S motor, rear wheels don't look to be correct but what do I know! Looks like I will be needing a couple more for the grandkids LOL............... Lon
