So you think the owner would concrete the pits before asphalting the track? Probably not. But what the heck maybe you can rent a concrete pit spot. I'm sure there is something else behind the concrete but it can damn sure be used for racing stuff later.

The best car counts CC Speedway ever had was when they did things there own way. Remembar when th Super Streets ran street tires and had 12 to 20 cars on any given weekend. And those were local cars. The bombers had even more. Adopting rules from other tracks seems to cause CC racers to go race elsewhere but not attract cars from elsewhere.

I assume you are talking about Larry Kraus. I can gladly say I raced with him and talked with him many times. What a great guy.

I use 0-40 mobil one in my street cars and 15-50 mobil one in the race car. I have used synthetic since the mid 80's. It is very common for an older vehicle to use oil when first switching to synthetic, don't worry about it. It will stop using oil before you need your next oil change. I'm not sure if any synthetic is better than the other one. I used Amsoil untill about 5 years ago but Mobil was more available to me.
