u all are bashing this one driver the man loves racing and he loves to race hard. look at what happend to him a couple of weeks ago when he was pushed up into the wall it almost took out is whole car no one is bashing the driver that caused that u all know that u are going to tear stuff up or tear somone elses stuff up racing is racing crap is going to happen!!!!!!!!

Man, the action in the Limited Mods alone are making me feel that the class by itself is worth the price of my pit pass. A dang good field of cars this year and some good shoes in that group. The competition this year is the Limiteds is very solid...... Also, agree on the decision on the 4 or less cars in a class decision. I know it is a hard deal for a given class, but good that the track will at least let the heat be the feature. Most tracks would load you back up, maybe give you your pit pass money back and send you packing... Sounds like a fair compromise the way SOS is dealing with it.

We are pleased to announce that the 2012 Allgayer Inc., Street Stock Shootout of South Texas series Tech Man will be Mr. GW Hessong. GW has been a competitor of local dirt track racing for a number of years in a variety of classes and in the automotive and machine industry since he was a teen.

 

GW was originally slotted to compete in the series piloting the Chamberlain owned 26f, but the 26f has been pulled from from street stock competition and Hessong was hired at the series tech man. Series originator Stephan Danielsen stated, "GW will be a great asset to have in the role of tech man. He has a tremendous knowledge on mechanical aspects, he is level headed, definitely familiar with dirt track racing, and a positive supporter of the series and what it is about".

Good job limited mods. Only two maybe three cautions throughout the feature on a somewhat tricky surface! Glad to see a big stout field of cars.

I say if the track puts in a bar and dance floor like Corpus did, it would be a big hit. Who cares about anything else if that happens. I tell you I'd be there every race for sure if that happened, as long as The Who was there.

Battleground race moved to the first weekend of March and a Thursday practice added, as I understand it. So, now, it is just wait see on weather for next weekend and USMTS. What a bummer weekend this is. We were ready to spectate. Instead, I forced myself to work on the #55 Outlaw Grand Prix.
