360 MOTORSPORTS NASCAR NIGHT

Recommended Posts

This is the last NASCAR race of the year at HMP. Plus NASCAR film crew will be on site shooting the 2012 NASCAR Home Tracks tv commercial that will air during every NASCAR race on tv in 2012. Come on out and you might see yourself and your race car on tv all of next year!

HMP has been chosen by NASCAR as the track to make the 2012 NASCAR Home Tracks TV commercial that will air during every NASCAR race on television in 2012! Film crews were here on October 1st just to get an overview. The main filming will occur on Friday October 14th and Saturday October 15th at our last race, 360 Motorsports NASCAR Night. They are primarily interested in filming our three NASCAR sanctioned classes: NASCAR Fiesta Modifieds, NASCAR Cricket Late Models and NASCAR 360 Trucks as well as many shots of the grand stands

They also want to do some special filming with a few late model and modified race cars in which cars pass each other at slower speeds as they zip by the camera mounted on the track. This will be done on Friday night.

In addition, Houston Motorsports Park is proud to announce the Largest Purse EVER offered at HMP for the NASCAR 360 Trucks! At 360 Motorsports NASCAR Night on October 15th, the NASCAR 360 Trucks will be racing for $2000 to Win and $400 to start. That’s not a typo…it is Four Hundred Dollars just to take the green flag for the feature! HMP will start 20 Trucks for this feature. Here is the breakdown:

$2000 – 1st

$1000 – 2nd

$800 – 3rd

$600 – 4th

20 NASCAR Modifieds for the last race of the season. Instead of 50 laps why not run 100 laps count yellows till the last 10 and the last 10 do not count cautions for the last 10 laps. Based on the prior 75 lappers we usualy end up running over 100 laps counting the 10 warmup and cautions anyway. Sure would be a good show for the crowd and you would really see who has the best setup and what drivers are in the best condition. Just a thought since this is the last race of the season. What do you think?
