Series founders Ricky Begnaud and Doug Begnaud with the help of a great group of racers have been hard at work ironing out all of the details to bring this series to life. The latest development is the great news of a very important position being filled. Chris Teter is our Race Director. You should remember him from his days behind the microphone at HRP and throughout north Texas. Chris brings sixteen years of experience in the racing industry to our team. He is very excited about his new role in this endeavor. Getting the Texas Super Late Model racing series up and going will take a combined effort from everyone. With Chris as our director, we feel that he has the desire and passion along with the ability to foster this series along and create a successful racing program for the racers and promoters alike. The Texas Super Late Model racing series is founded on the idea of “Everybody Can Play!” The rule package is designed to give every car an equal chance of winning regardless of which engine they have under the hood. Weight and spoiler packages along with hard tires on all four corners of the car will create the level playing field that we are looking for. This will also help ensure good car counts. Attractive purses will also aid in enticing drivers from other series and other regions to compete with our series. The Texas Super Late Model racing series will actively promote the series as a group along with partnering up with the track promoters to make sure the stands fill up and so do the pits. We will strive to operate the series with total professionalism and consistency. Our goal is to grow every year. We want to be the series that promoters look forward to hosting every opportunity they get. We sincerely appreciate everyone’s patience in allowing us to work through the building process.
