Austin Wayne Self Pre-Race Quotes:

On Daytona (Fla.) international Speedway Road Course: “I am actually pretty pumped to go the Daytona Road Course this weekend. Our AM Racing team had some pretty good luck there year. “I don’t know what it is but I seem to really enjoy competing at these road courses in the Truck Series.
“We finished 11th there last year, anything less than that will be a disappointment for sure.”

On Daytona (Fla.) international Speedway Finish: “I’m proud of the effort from Ryan (Salomon, crew chief) and the entire AM Racing team. They built me a fast and competitive truck and when push came to shove on the last lap we literally got shoved out of the way. That was a bummer because we recovered pretty well from a hiccup earlier in the race. Everyone knew we were there though and that’s something for us to be proud of looking ahead.”

On 2021 Truck Series Outlook: “I think it’s going to be a season to remember for the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. The schedule went through a shakeup which should produce some surprises and I’m optimistic that we can accel through the diverse schedule and contend for one of the Playoff spots.”
