2019 Sprint Car Bandits Schedule, “Fierce 15” teams, Fan Fest & more

Garland, Texas (12/26/18) .  The upcoming 2019 racing season for the NCRA Sprint Car Bandits (SCB) series is going to feature several new fan- and driver-focused initiatives that will further add to the excitement and benefit level to all involved from event night to event night throughout the season, and today the series schedule is now available for viewing. This is the fourth season for the Dallas/Ft. Worth based series.

For those of you that may have missed out on last month’s news announcement, in a recent SCB drivers meeting, the new driver rewards program was announced, and a total of 15 teams formed the Sprint Car Bandits “Fierce 15.” These drivers will receive additional monetary benefits from the new SCB merchandising program, along with another new driver rewards program called the Sprint Car Bandits 4-Pack Purse.

All SCB rules-compliant and eligible drivers that are not part of the optional Fierce 15 driver program will still be allowed to compete in any 2019 Sprint Car Bandits event, as in the past, with no registration or license fee, at any point in the season that they are available to race with the series.

All teams in attendance on race night will have the same rules, same sign in, formats; etc. whether they are a Fierce 15 team or not, as long as they are SCB rules compliant. This includes all sprint cars that are 360 cubic inch and under.

None of the 2019 Fierce 15 driver reward programs are based off performance. They are all based on those drivers’ support of the Sprint Car Bandits series itself.

The Sprint Car Bandits 4-Pack Purse consists short-term sponsor-added purses that will reward the Fierce 15 teams that compete in each “4-Pack” of completed events in the season. This way, regardless of weather impacts, whenever four events in a row are completed, Fierce 15 teams with perfect attendance during those four events will all equally divide up the Sprint Car Bandits 4-Pack Purse, again, regardless of performance. Then, the next Sprint Car Bandits 4-Pack Purse segment will begin; and so forth throughout the balance of the season.

Since the inception of the series in 2015, we have no issues whatsoever with any driver that competes in the Sprint Car Bandits that also chooses to race with whomever they like in whatever division they like throughout the racing season.

There are no anticipated rules changes to the cars themselves. We have a couple of small procedural changes that will go into effect in 2019, as were discussed at the drivers meeting recently.

109 sprint car teams from nine states competed in the series in 2018. There were 13 different feature winners in 16 events. Colby Estes of Mansfield Texas garnered the most points to become series champion. Drivers interested in the Sprint Car Bandits Fierce 15 program can contact SprintCarBandits@outlook.com for additional information.

The following drivers make up the 2019 Sprint Car Bandits Fierce 15 and will be competing for added money for their support of the series:  Colby Estes, Michael Day, Claud Estes III, Dalton Stevens, Scott Evans, Chance McCrary, Dale Wester, Junior Jenkins, Brad Wesp, Josh Hawkins, Casey Burkham, Steve McMackin, Will Eggimann, Mark Zoeller and Mark Huddleston. Fans can expect to see these drivers competing in 2019 Sprint Car Bandits series events, along with any eligible sprint car driver that chooses to on a night-to-night basis, just as in previous seasons.

Race fans can look forward to arriving an hour early to each Series event in 2019 and participate in Sprint Car Bandits Fan Fest. Each event will feature appearances by the Fierce 15 teams, along with the ability to purchase driver and series apparel and merchandise at the Series souvenir display.

The fans can meet with the Fierce 15 drivers, take selfies, get their t-shirts signed; etc. The general rule of thumb is that Sprint Car Bandits Fan Fest will be scheduled one hour previous to hot laps, lasting for 45 minutes. Then it’s off to the drivers meeting and racing.

These new value-added components have no added cost or fee due from Series tracks. The Sprint Car Bandits Fan Fest will help attract fans to their speedways earlier where tracks can showcase their souvenirs, food, beverage and attractions.

We are now just under three months away from the kickoff of the 2019 season and here is the schedule – as of today’s date.
