Points Heating Up at COTTON BOWL SPEEDWAY!

As the summer kicks into full swing with hotter temperatures at COTTON BOWL SPEEDWAY, the Season Points BATTLES are HEATING UP, as well!

With the first 7 scheduled events of the year in the books, some all too familiar names in local racing and some not so familiar names, find themselves in the LEAD and will look to increase the gap between themselves and their competitors, Saturday, June 23rd.

IMCA Modified Racer Hardy Henderson #63 from Harker Heights, Texas finds himself in 1st place with a 32 point lead over Ryan Childress #81 from Elgin, Texas. Followed in 3rd place by inspirational Racer, Chris Morris #94 from Taylor, Texas.

Don Painter leads the MAGNUM-IMCA SportMod class in his #10D IRP chassis SportMod. However he'll be looking to find some success on June 23rd as he leads Heath Stewart #2H from Webberville, Texas and Trevor Egbert #787 from Salado, Texas by just 5 and 8 points!

Charles Cosper from Belton, Texas driving the #33C IMCA Stock Car, has found himself in our KRAGH'S JEWELRY- VICTORY LANE, 4 times so far this season and is the current Points Leader over Anthony Otken #489 from Killeen, Texas with a 16 point lead gap. Anthony will need to be on his game during the next event since Ken Plonsky #4K from Killeen, Texas trails him by just a single point!

Adam Gandara #60 from Moody, Texas has raced himself into a comfortable lead in Street Stocks over long time friend and brother-in-law, Tim Ellis #17 from Moody, Texas with a 28 point gap. Following closely by Bryan Meredith from Buda, Texas in the #30 whom had to miss the June 9th race due to prior obligations.

In its 1st Season at CBS, the BROWNING-Factory Stocks are heating up the track with Brady Ricks #24 from Moody, Texas and Kevin Nejtek #7 from Liberty Hill, Texas in a 203 point tied battle for first place! Followed by long time racer Steve Sims #58 from Austin, Texas with just a 19 point gap between him, first and second place!

Rounding out our current Points Leaders, we have Russell Vickery from Maxwell, Texas in the #30 Sport Compact out to a 13 point lead over Kris Wilson #7. And in third place Gordon Dowdy #63 from Johnson City, Texas.
