Gearing Up for May 6th... What's on Tap

Busy week ahead leading up to May 6th. We are sure ready to get back to racing after the last event was rained out. And, here's what all is happening this week.

 

First, we will have a Facebook Live broadcast on Monday evening at approximately 7pm. This will be from Monty Chamberlain's Facebook account, so if you don't have Monty Chamberlain as a friend, send him a friend request before 5pm on Monday afternoon and he will accept you if you have some mutual friends. this broadcast will be titled Tour Texana. During the broadcast, we will tour the grounds, one of the buildings, and track. We will also interview track operator, Tony Blankenship. We will interview marking intern, Kayla Sturm and talk about the upcoming races for May 6th and other events on tap, including the two day show in June 16 & 17.

 

This Saturday, May 6th, the featured driver will be Mr. Jason Fitch, driver of the 23F Titan Homes of Victoria Street Stock. Jason will be in the general admission with his car from 6 pm to 6:30 pm to meet fans, sign autographs and hand out anything he brings with him.

 

We will have 50 cent hotdogs and 50 cent sodas. At intermission, we will have Kids Rides in the Texana School Bus and then we will have the Spring Final Four Spectator Race Championship. Spectator Racers can sign in for free at the ticket booth. You must be at least 18 years of age with a photo ID, wear the seatbelt in the car, sign the track participation waver, compete in a street legal car (no convertibles) and wear a helmet. The Spectator Races will consist of one on one competitions for one lap with the loser exiting the track and the winner going to the infield to compete again. We will go until we have four remaining competitors. At that point, the Final Four will compete together for four laps. The Spring Final Four Spectator Race Championship is sponsored by Randy Seas / Seals Racing!. The winner will get $200. Second place will get $110. Third place will get $40 and fourth place will get a hot dog and a soda plus a candy bar if they raced really hard.
