Sponsors - $250 from an Anonymous Austin Area Sponsor (more sponsors are needed - contact David Mackey)

 

April 5 - Friday practice 9:00am till 5:00pm, $20 per person in pits, $12 per person in stands (Fri/Sat $25)

April 6 --- SATURDAY -9:00am - Pit Gate Opens (TPS cars must pit in assigned area. Pit fire extinguisher required) Note: TPS participants must sign correct TPS sheet & wear correct wrist band at CTS (tell your family)

 

10:00am -3:00pm -TPS practice is mandatory or start Feature Race at rear -

TPS Practice times: 10:00-10:15, 11:30-11:45, 1:30-1:45)

11:00am - Deadline for (1) one gate bonus point

3:00pm -- TPS Drivers Meeting (non-attendance or no practice receives rear race grid penalty)CTS Drivers Meeting at 3:15pm

4:00pm -- TPS QUALIFYING -2 Laps- qualifying line inverted by 2013 point standings.

Qual Order: TPS, Trucks, Mods, LM

6:00pm -- TPS FEATURE - 30 Laps heads-up - NO GRID LIMIT dnt's at rear by 2013 points. If time trials not held or completed, Feature grids by 2013 TPS points, order of entry.

(Qualifying & Feature order: TPS, Trucks, Mods, LM)

6:30pm -- Post Race TPS Inspection - weight, carb check, random P&G - Trophy to TPS Feature Winner

9:00pm --When Feature Races are completed the CTS live music concert will go on stage until Midnight

IF POSTPONED - Per 2013 TPS contract with CTS - rain dates will be negotiated with CTS (Next TPS race is May 18 at CC Speedway) For weather information call David Mackey cell 512/913-9364 or office 512/280-4869

 

ENTRY FEE - $60 - per car if paid two weeks in advance by mail/check & completed entry form.

NOTE: Entry fee refunded (less $10) until car passes thru Pit Gate. Must sign TPS or Minors clipboard.

LATE ENTRY - $70 - per car if paid late at track in pits (late $10 deposited into TPS Treasury).

TPS PIT PASS - $35 - $25 If a NASCAR member (Rain checks good on rain date). No Refunds. Under 18 needs parental release Note: Each purchased pit pass will be good two free drink tickets for beer, wine or soft drink at the Car Bar after racing is completed

 

GRANDSTAND - $20 - per person adult ($2 discount to Military & College with ID), Children 12 & under FREE

PARKING LOT - $20 - (This is a new fee for grandstand spectator vehicles which may be subject to price reduction)

 

SPECIFICATIONS - TPS 2013 Rules & Specifications (Note: Windshields and rear windows required or be issued a large and increasing weight penalty) Each driver must receive scanner on 154.570 MHz when on track.

 

TRANSPONDER - Must have all times on track an AMB Transponder, which is required to be timed and scored

INVITED CARS - CTS & CCS Mini Stocks accepted provided in compliance with their 2013 rules & weigh by TPS rules. (Invited car upgrades OK: CTS & CCS may use: TPS 13” Hoosier Racing Tires or DOT tires, may use after-market suspension parts, lock drive wheels, may not have external nerf bars, must use rear view mirror(s.

 

MEMBERSHIP - All drivers required to hold valid 2013 Texas Pro Sedans membership to drive on track. One race TPS memberships are available for $25. Car number priority goes to TPS full season $75 members.

 

PURSE - Central Texas Spdwy will pay $22.50 from Saturday TPS pit pass proceeds to help the TPS purse. All sponosor and CTS money goes into the TPS purse. TPS Officials will be paid from appropriate entry fee deduction. Remaining funds received from CTS & TPS Sponsors will make Purse. Feature Pay Off next week by U.S. Mail.

 

TROPHY - A Trophy for the TPS Feature Race Winner will be presented by Central Texas Speedway

 

POINTS - Points awarded per TPS Rules - 3 points to fastest new record (16.374) - fastest non-record wins 1 point

 

INSURANCE - Insurance coverage limits for: Liability, Accidental Death & Dismemberment and Medical Excess were not available from CTS at time of publication of TPS Race Bulletin #2. TPS expects this information to be posted at CTS.

TPS @ CTS Practice News

 

April 6 Race Bulletin Updated and March 30 Practice Available

 

Central Texas Speedway track manager Jim Hubbard has recently announced several practice and race day schedule changes:

 

March 30 … Practice at CTS available to TPS and all cars between the hours of 8:00am to 1:00pm. Pit pass fee - $25 for insurance wristband, NO FEE TO PRACTICE!

Also for race days – “Effective immediately, all registered drivers will receive one free general parking pass each race upon back gate entry. There will be limited reserved parking just outside the pit parking fence for DRIVERS VEHICLES ONLY”.

 

April 6 ... The race day hourly schedule has changed. Practice and race times are listed below on Texas Pro Sedans Race Bulletin #2.

 

Entry Note #1: All 14 entries at CC Speedway rolled over their entry fees for April 6 at Central Texas Speedway and will receive 2 bonus points.

 

Entry Note #2: If you have not yet filed your CTS April 6 race entry, one bonus point is available if submitted by March 30. David will be at CTS on March 30.

 

Tire Note: Jerry Spencer will be at his Hoosier Tire Shop at Central Texas Speedway on March 30 from 8AM to 1PM. Jerry has a reasonable selection of Hoosier 13” TPS tires with a variety of roll outs available.
