Kennedale, Texas (9/16/11) - The top ASCS2 and EMSA 600 Sprint series drivers throughout the region will converge upon Cowtown Speedway for two nights of battling with the Cowtown stars at “Round 1” of the Cowtown Crown on October 7th and 8th. Three series divisions will be racing, including the Outlaw Winged 600’s, Non-Winged 600’s and Restricted 600’s. Joining the 600 Sprint series divisions will be the Cowtown Bombers & Street Stocks on Friday night, and the Cowtown Limited Modifieds and USRA Modifieds on Saturday night.

600 Sprint Drivers will pay one entry fee for the weekend, whether they race one day or both; but there will be a complete program contested on each night:

• Non-Winged A-Class 600’s and Winged Outlaw 600’s will each be racing for $500 to win and $50 to start (24th) on Friday night; and $1,000 to win and $100 to start (24th) on Saturday night. Each night will pay $25 to non-qualifiers. Both divisions will be racing on the ¼ mile track.

• The Restricted 600’s will race on the Action Track with two separate feature events as well. Friday night will pay $250 to win and $50 to start (20th). Saturday night will pay $500 to win and $75 to start (20th).

• All 600 Sprint drivers must pre-register at the track website, www.CowtownSpeedway.com by no later than Monday, October 3rd and that will reserve them a spot in the pits as well as save them $25 in race week pricing. Registration is now open, and early entry is $50 for each of the three 600 Sprint divisions. Pre-entered drivers can also purchase a two-day advance pit pass online that will allow them to only have to go through one line at the pit window on Friday night (the far left window). Car numbers will be assigned on a first-registered basis. Teams are urged to get pre-entered as soon as possible. All entries received at the track will be $75 per car entered. Like always, entry fee does not include pit passes; which are $30 per person each night.

A practice night for all race divisions will be held on Thursday, October 6th from 6pm to 9pm. All pit passes are $20 and the main grandstand area will be closed.

There is no entry fee or draw fee for the Bombers or Street Stocks on Friday, as well as the Limited Modifieds and USRA Modifieds on Saturday night. Additional purse information for those classes will be announced as race week approaches.

Adult grandstand tickets (ages 12 and up) on Friday and Saturday night is $15 each. Ages 6-11 each night are $5 and for this event, ages 5 and under are FREE each night! All pit passes each night are $30. 2-day pit passes will only be sold online through October 3rd.
